On our wedding registry, I took a bold chance and opted for an edgy yet feminine new dinnerware line that I fell in love with, Juliska. My fiance at the time, was not too thrilled about the romantic feminine pieces, but after much convincing that I will be doing most of the cooking (and baking) and that kitchen items should be my pick (since all electronics were his), he happily complied. The brand is a fairly new collection of dinnerware and stoneware that has slowly been defining the styles of chic table setting. Founded in 2001, Juliska prides itself of reproducing Bohemian glass with its mouth-blown glassware and hand-pressed stoneware techniques. Its ornate, unique and absolutely stunning creations are inspired to bring European designs to modern homes. To ensure everyday practicality; it can go straight from the freezer into the oven, as well as the dishwasher and microwave. So, how could I not register for it?
Our compromise: Mixing the Berry & Thread with the Pewter Collection, and saving the ornate, Jardins du Monde dishes for dessert.
