{ Paris has arrived to NYC }

Move over cupcakes, the ultimate in Parisian pastries has arrived to the Upper East Side in NYC!  The world reknown Ladurée has opened it's first doors in the US after being exclusive to its native Paris on the magnifique Champs-Élysées since 1862.  These scrumptious french pastries; so airy, so light, beautifully colored and delightfully flavored will be the newest trend in desserts.  It has been 5 years since my first encounter with a Ladurée macaroon in Paris, but I will be reminiscing about my first bite into those delictable French cookies...until we meet again! Bonsoir!
You can check out their website, here.

Deconstructed Strawberry Shortcake

I love recipes that are easy, always turn out nice and taste delicious.  That's why anything from Ina Garten is usually a masterpiece.  One of my favorite cookbooks by her is "Barefoot Contessa: how easy is that?
I recently had my in-laws over for dinner and decided to whip up the deconstructed strawberry shortcake for dessert. You can find the recipe here. It was a hit!

So, while we battle through the hot "Fummer" (Fall + Summer) that's about to commence, here are some Fall style trends that I'm looking forward to wearing.
