Create Your Canvas

It's no secret that we love makeup.  We get countless emails asking what face makeup we wear and what the new hot ticket item is!  Well, look no further, we are in love with the new Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation. I have used the infamous Armani Silk Luminous foundation which is nice but this one trumps it. It is so lightweight and leaves a luxurious feeling on your skin! The formula is water-based and is made to be applied with the fingers. If you apply it with a brush, the brush will absorb the product and you will end up using more unnecessarily.  One layer will give a light tinted-moisturizer glow, but if you apply two to three layers you will get a full coverage look. I also love that there is SPF 15 infused as well. I recently learned that some foundations that contain SPF have titanium dioxide which gives you the white-ish mask/bounce back effect when taking pictures that have a flash.  The Maestro foundation doesn't have titanium dioxide in the SPF, so thankfully, you can wave goodbye to that pale-faced Twilight look that used to ruin your pictures.  I also really loved the Maestro Concealer.  I used to be a Clea De Peau {the infamous "best" concealer in the world} devotee but I am finding the thick consistency of their formula accumulates in any fine lines around my eyes...not cute! I know the price of these products is a little steep but I suggest going to your local Nordstrom's and asking for a sample of the foundation and concealer and see if it's a right fit for you. It's so important to create the perfect canvas to a flawless face.

In the Trenches

{Walter Baker Trench {sale!!}; ALC Blouse; Zara Skirt; Zara Sandals; Topshop Necklace; Vintage bracelets; Club Monaco Clutch (old, similar here}
With the sporadic rain and fog these past few weeks, this trench has literally saved me.  I loved the versatility of taking something so staple like a trench in its classic neutral khaki and adding the edge of the black leather sleeves.  Granted, So. Cal rain is a joke compared to the rest of the world but, for some odd reason, I never have an umbrella with me.  I guess that should be next on my purchase list since rain is usually in the forecast for Spring... April showers bring May flowers right?

Wake Up and Smell The Roses

Lush's Shower Smoothie in Turkish Delight

Lush's Body Conditioner in Ro's Argan
If you guys follow me/us on twitter {@noellenk1} it's apparent that I have fallen in love with Lush products. I stumbled into the store accidentally one day to buy gifts for my parents, and I was instantly hooked. Since you probably have already noticed, we at Vogue and Vino are product junkies, and love to share our favorite products with our readers! So it goes without further babble that I introduce you to the Turkish Delight shower smoothie and Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. Turkish Delight is a soap that can simultaneously be used as a shaving cream. It's packed with jasmine and Turkish rose, smoothing almond oil, moisturizing cocoa butter and neroli -- an euphoric essential oil, and a little goes a long way. It leaves my skin clean yet hydrated. After Turkish Delight, I move onto Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. WOW! With scoops of cocoa butter, cupuacu butter, almond oil and Argan oils, this body conditioner will leave your skin soft and your body smelling delish for days!  I'm going to try out some more of their products and update you with more reviews.  In the meantime though, have you tried their products? If so, let us know what your favorite ones are!

Tribal Print

{Sunnies, Burberry; Tribal Sweater, 2b; Tank, Gap; Jeans, Level 99; Belt, All Saints; Boots, All Saints; Bag, Celine, Midi-ring, Loud Love Jewelry; Necklace, Nadri}

Abstract, interesting prints have always caught my eye.  There was something so chic about the black and white vertical lines of this easy sweater that it immediately spiced up every outfit I paired it with.  Today, for example, was a casual, cool LA day, I slipped on my most comfortable jeans, my go-to biker boots, and paired it with this tribal 2b sweater, which was warm enough to keep me protected from the crazy winds, yet cool enough for that sporadic California heat.  Maybe some rules say black and brown don't match, but I think there are no rules in fashion anymore. I like to think my brown biker boots broke up the monotony of the black and white quite nicely, if I do say so myself ;).  I know this sweater will be a staple in my closet from Spring to Summer with its light-weight fabric, perfect to throw on in an air conditioned restaurant or on a cool summer night.
PS- Hope you've entered our Coachella 2b giveaway! Remember it ends this Thursday, 4/18/13!

Flower child

{Zara blouse; F21 jeans; Brian Atwood heels; Walter Baker Trench; Balenciaga handbag; Jewelry: vintage bracelet, J.Crew chain link bracelet {similar here}; Cartier Love bracelet; Butter London's Jaffa nail polish; YSL Rouge Volupt No. 2 lipstick; NARS Turkish Delight lip-gloss}
As Coachella raved on this past weekend, and my instagram blew up with pictures of palm trees admist clear blue skies, stylish bloggers rocking their of-the-moment haute-hippie get-ups, and a larger than life lit up Ferris wheel, I was home re-cooping from an insanely stressful yet rewarding week, not to mention trying to stay warm despite this chilly Santa Barbara haze. Here was my Coachella tribute outfit to my inner seventies, flower child. High waisted sailor jeans with a floral printed loose blouse; all I'm missing is my flower crown. Hope you had a great weekend.

Save or splurge
 Clover Canyon dress, $330 // Mary Katrantzou colorful dress, $2,850

Vibrantly colored, asymmetrical, printed dresses have been the wardrobe staple this season, but you don't want to break the bank with one simple trend {an entire wardrobe would be another story}.  Clover Canyon is one of our favorite new breakout designers that has been getting a lot of buzz as of late. Place their collections together with that of Mary Katranzou and Peter Pilotto, and you'd think they were all from one designer.  Thankfully for your wallet, they aren't.
